Our nurse, Kim, was absolutely an angel! Her expert knowledge and communication skills are above and beyond. Her dedication to caring for my 93 yo mom was so appreciated. She explained new medicines and what to expect as my mom’s health declined. She was always so gentle and sweet with her. Any questions we had were answered in a clear way. And if I left a voicemail, she responded in a timely manner. She also helped me personally by being a wonderful listener when I was going through so many different emotions. Her kind voice and words meant the world to me. Also, Catherine, a member of their spiritual support team, coordinated a priest to come perform last rites. She also asked if I wanted to meet with her one-on-one. When she came to visit, she truly wanted to understand what I needed and provided a safe space for me to be really honest. As a caregiver, many times that’s truly all I needed – along with supportive words to help me believe I’m not alone in what I’m going through and feeling. I thank them both and am so grateful they were part of the last few month’s of my mom’s life. The two of them are super special!
